I love being in a room with an audience.
For most of my life I’ve been on a stage in one form or another, as an actor, a director, and a cabaret singer, and for more than 25 years as the person deciding who else gets to stand up there. Speaking is where all of that comes together.
What I talk about
I speak about solo living and the art of savoring your own company. About gratitude as a daily practice; I’ve written down five things every morning since 2011, and it changed more than I expected. About building a full, deliberate life on your own terms, unlikely careers and contradictions included. And about the ideas behind my book, Eating Adverbs.
I shape each talk to the room, whether that’s a conference keynote, a community event, a book gathering, or a workshop.

Let’s talk
If that sounds like something your stage or your event could use, I’d love to hear from you.
