Arts Presenting

Blizzard Theatre at Elgin Community College

For over two decades, I’ve had the privilege of being an arts presenter, a role that allows me to bring the magic of live performances to life. As a multi-disciplinary presenter, I curate a vibrant tapestry of performances, spanning various styles and genres, to introduce audiences to the rich and diverse world of the performing arts.

My journey began in a quaint non-profit theater in New Hampshire (2004-2008), where I discovered the profound impact of the arts on communities. This passion led me to the Midwest, where I served as the Managing Director of the Fine & Performing Arts Center at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, IL, from 2008 to 2021. Today, I am honored to be the Senior Director of Performing Arts at Elgin Community College in Elgin, IL, a position I have held since February 2021.

I was honored to be presented with the 2023 award for Excellence in Presenting the Performing Arts by NAPAMA (North American Performing Arts Managers and Agents). Click HERE for a link to my acceptance speech.

As an arts presenter, I hold a unique responsibility to shape the cultural landscape of our community. Often, we are the sole purveyors of artistic experiences in a given community, making our choices on stage pivotal. The performing arts are a powerful catalyst for transformation, breaking down barriers and fostering a sense of shared humanity. In a nation celebrated for its diversity, my greatest hope is to remind everyone of our common bonds. Through the universal language of art, we can all recognize our shared humanity and strengthen our community by treating each other with dignity and respect.
